God is our only and true support!

 Pastor Eduardo preached today:

God is our only and true Support. God is faithful and provides everything we need to live. We can always rely on God's providence. It is God who gives us life, food, jobs, friends ... God takes care of all the creatures on earth.

2 Corinthians 9: 8-10 And God is able to add all grace to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that is necessary, you overflow in every good work. As it is written: "He distributed, gave his goods to the needy;
his righteousness endures forever. "He who supplies the seed to the sower and the bread to the eater will also supply and multiply the seed and grow the fruits of his righteousness.

1- How to decide what to do? Surrender, revolt, fight, give up?

Today, we too are often tempted to become discouraged in the face of difficulties, life problems and the challenge of living in the family and in the community. How many times have you felt like giving up, leaving everything or being discouraged saying enough is enough. But faith supported you, Jesus guided you so that the waters of the sea of life would not drown you. In the walk of the People of God through the desert, it was faith in God and unity that did not let the people disperse and be discouraged. Today, it is also the faith and unity of all, the solidarity experienced on a daily basis, that will help us to overcome obstacles, sin and death.

We are often afflicted in this way and, in very difficult situations, there is no other way to go but pray and seek the direction and support of the Lord.

 2- David's livelihood. Psalm 55 tells the story of when King David discovered that his own son Absalom had teamed up with the king's enemies to steal his throne. After much thought, King David gives us precious advice that was certainly a breath in that difficult moment: “Cast your care on the Lord and He will sustain you, He will NEVER allow the righteous to be shaken” Psalm 55:22

That's right, my beloved brother, that's the secret, to throw, to throw on God what ails us because He will be our unshakable sustenance.

3- Walk straight. But since this promise is also linked to justice, then, in order to claim it, we must also seek to walk uprightly (that is, always act correctly and honestly) so that it manifests itself in our lives with power.

32
1 Timothy 6:17 Command those who are rich in the present world not to be arrogant, nor to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides us with everything, for our satisfaction.

Psalms 145: 14-17 The Lord supports all who fall and raises all who are prostrate. Everyone's eyes are on you, and you give them food in due time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of all living beings. The Lord is just in all his ways and kind in everything he does.

Be firm, even in tribulation!

Pastor Eduardo preached today:
Be firm, even in tribulation!
Understand the importance of being firm even in tribulation

You need an answer from God. Do not despair, wait on the Lord, believe. He will act in due course. ” Ecclesiastes 2:1-26 " I said to myself, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure to find out what is good.” But that also proved to be meaningless. 2 “Laughter,” I said, “is madness. And what does pleasure accomplish?” 3 I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly—my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives. 4 I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards. 5 I made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. 6 I made reservoirs to water groves of flourishing trees. 7 I bought male and female slaves and had other slaves who were born in my house. I also owned more herds and flocks than anyone in Jerusalem before me. 8 I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem[a] as well—the delights of a man’s heart. 9 I became greater by far than anyone in Jerusalem before me. In all this my wisdom stayed with me.
11 Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.
Wisdom and Folly Are Meaningless
12 Then I turned my thoughts to consider wisdom, and also madness and folly. What more can the king’s successor do than what has already been done?
16 For the wise, like the fool, will not be long remembered;  the days have already come when both have been forgotten. Like the fool, the wise too must die!
Toil Is Meaningless
17 So I hated life, because the work that is done under the sun was grievous to me. All of it is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
20 So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun.
23 All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless.
24 A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment? 26 To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

"Son, if you enter the service of God, stand firm in justice and fear, and prepare your soul for judgment." God comes closer to us when we are more fragile, because the more we need him, the closer he comes to us. The painful days come for everyone, everyone experiences anguish and fear. And you, who knew Jesus, get ready.

God knows us, when pain "tightens", we rush and lose it before our eyes. These are days of darkness, days of pain. The Lord says: "My son, do not bother", although it seems that you are alone, He is with you. People may say that you are abandoned by Him, but do not listen to them. The temptation that wants you to turn against God and make you feel abandoned.

Don't listen to the devil

Job suffered horrors, his friends and even his wife asked him to leave God, but he stood firm. Everything happens. Your pain will pass. The difficulty will pass, do not listen to the devil, because in difficulty the Lord is also with you. "Do not bother in times of unhappiness, suffer God's delays; dedicate yourself to God, wait patiently, so that at the last moment your life will be enriched ”.

While waiting on the Lord, be faithful and “Accept what happens to you. In pain, remain firm; in humiliation, be patient. Because it is through fire that gold and silver are tested, and men who please God. ” Waiting is very difficult! It is to be tested; waiting on God is not easy.

Wait for God's time. Accept whatever happens to you. Take your suffering and present it to God, saying: Lord, I don't understand you, but I want to confront you with the Lord.

Give God what belongs to him, which is the first place. Trust Him, abandon yourself to Him. Our pain is healed with love, so let Him take care of you, it is not time to heal the wound, but it is love. God purifies us by healing us and heals us by purifying us.

In you, Lord, I sought refuge; never let me be humiliated. Rescue me and deliver me by your righteousness; incline your ear to me and save me. Psalm 71: 1,2

Jesus comforts the disciples!

 Pastor Eduardo preached today:

Jesus comforts the disciples!
John 14-21 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you, for I will prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that, wherever I am, you too may be. 4 Even you know where I am going and you know the way. ”

The news of Jesus to the disciples, that He would return to the Father and leave them soon, so disturbed the minds of those men that they despaired. So Jesus intervened with words of comfort, saying that He was going to prepare a place for them, but then He was going to return and take them to be with Him always.

Vers. 5 “Thomas said to him, Lord, do we not know where you are going and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you knew me, you would also know my Father; and from now on you know him and have seen him. ”

During His ministry, Jesus repeatedly implied that He came from God and was returning to God (6:62; 7: 33-34; 8: 21-23). But the disciples did not understand their language (cf Mark 9: 30-32; Luke 9: 44-45). Among them was one who was an honest man in his beliefs and strict to accept ideas and figurative language. It was Thomas. He was not satisfied with the news from the other apostles, that they had seen the risen Jesus. It was necessary for him to see and feel His wounds to believe (John 20: 24-29). Much less, they understood that the path that Jesus followed was the path of the cross (cf Matthew 16:21).

Thomas, when he said: “Sir, we do not know where you are going; how to know the way? ” this gave Jesus the opportunity to teach one of the greatest truths in the gospel.

“The way”, is well explained as the way of conducting yourself before God, in Deuteronomy 5: 32-33; 31: 29; Isaiah 30:21; 35: 8. The only way to reach God is by listening and obeying Christ's teachings and following His example. It indicates, not just the path. He goes ahead, because He is The Way.

Second, "the truth". The ideal of the Old Testament righteous people was to know the truth of God in order to practice it (cf Psalm 86: 11; 26: 3; 31: 5; 25: 5). It is possible for a moralist to preach morality and live in immorality.

Third, Jesus said, "I am ... life". The richest and most complete teachings about “life” are to be found in this Gospel of John, in which this concept receives the greatest prominence. The author states that he wrote this Gospel "... so that ... you may have life ..." (20: 31). Jesus himself says: "... I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance" (10: 10b).
It also represents Jesus, the Word (Logos), as the origin and means of all life for the world. Like the pre-incarnate Word, He was the source of life for the universe (1: 4). As an incarnate Word, He said that His life had been given by the Father who has life in Himself (5:26; 6:57; 10:18). So He is the mediator of life for man.

He Jesus completed me!

 Pastor Eduardo preached today in the worship church:

He (Jesus) completed me!

1-How are we acceptable before God?
You have been declared forgiven by the grace of God (His goodness), through Jesus' death for you. You received the gift of forgiveness when you believed that Jesus paid for your sins, right? You did nothing to deserve this forgiveness. You simply believed God when he said he had forgiven you.

In today's preaching, we will talk about God's love for us. Let's see what the book of Romans says:

Romans 6: 8 “God proves his love for us by the fact that Christ died for us, while we are still sinners.”

There is much more to this word than we can realize when we read; we already know by heart, but we don't understand! In other words, God tells me that despite my shortcomings

John 15:13 “No one has a greater love than this: to give someone their own life for their friends.”

2- What does Jesus want from us, now that we have found him? Matthew 9:37 “… The harvest, in fact, is large, but the workers are few. Therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers to his harvest. ” The harvest is where we live and the workers are us! say: Here I am, Lord!

Dear ones, the work of the devil is to discourage us, we live in war, but the Father who loves us. It cheers us up, raises us up, makes us persevere, because much more than we do He has an interest in rescuing our city; He loves our city, He loves the people who live in our city and wants to use us as his instruments of blessing in their lives.
He loves me, accepts me, considers me his son! He completes me, and I am completed in Him!Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

In the name of Jesus, I want to invite you: come and fight for the Lord! Let's take our city to the Lord!

Who knows, maybe you think you can't afford it, you don't have the capacity, you can't, but the Lord is making a feeling burn in your heart that you haven't experienced yet, that feeling is His, you don't worry about anything, just believe; heed the call of the Lord and He will pour you out of His anointing and will enable you to do battle; fear not! Only believe!

I want to invite you out of your comfort zone and say to the Lord: here I am Lord, I am yours, take my life, take everything that belongs to me, my life, my job, my wallet, my business, my car, my home, my family; use me sir! Use me Lord!

Shãma’b = dar ouvidos;
Hypakouõ = ouvir;
Eisalouõ = ouvir dentro;

O sacrificar é consequência do obedecer.

A responsabilidade é pessoal.
(Oseias 6:6)

Less than me and more of God! Why is obeying better than sacrificing?

 Pastor Eduardo sermon today: Less than me and more of God! Why is obeying better than sacrificing? (1 Sam 15:22)

“But Samuel said, Is the Lord as happy in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying his word? Behold, obeying is better than sacrificing, and attending to it, better than sheep fat. ” 1 Samuel 15:22

In the Bible, there are at least three words that have been translated as 'obey' in English:
Shãma'b = listening;
Hypakouõ = listen;
Eisalouõ = hear inside;
peithomai = yield and submit to authority.

As good as human intentions are, their isolated and external acts of homage to God cannot compensate for the lack of obedience in their conduct.
In Jeremiah 7: 21-24 it says: “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Gather your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat meat. For I said nothing to your parents on the day I brought them out of the land of Egypt, nor did I tell them anything about burnt offerings or sacrifices. But I commanded them, saying, Give ear to my voice, and I will be your God, and you will be my people; walk all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you. But they did not listen, nor did they listen, but walked in their own counsel and in the hardness of their evil heart; they went backwards and not forward. ”

1-Therefore, without obedience the sacrifice becomes null. Fasts, prayers, vigils will be meaningless.

Sacrifice is a consequence of obeying. In the Bible, to obey is to submit to God's authority.
“Exercising justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice” (Proverbs 21: 3)

2-Why is rebellion like witchcraft? Because rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft, and strife is like iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you, lest you be king.1 Samuel 15:23 “
We live in the time of Grace, all the ordinances and sacrifices of the old testament have been replaced by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the Cross. Hallelujah!

Whatever God wants there to be an obedience or a position of our hearts to lead our lives according to the gospel. If we continue to rely on the sacrifices of the old testament, then we are invalidating the sacrifices of Jesus, which is a very serious sin.

In the old testament the man tried to justify himself through ordinances and sacrifices. Today in Grace we are justified by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the Cross. Hallelujah!

By loving and obeying the Lord, we are able to please him through Jesus, who is the only way to the Father. The responsibility is personal. Have the Bible as your doctrine of Christian Faith and Conduct.
We are evangelical, that is, we live the New Testament. We live in the grace of Jesus sacrifice.

"For I want mercy, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings." (Hosea 6: 6)

Less of me, and more of God!

 Pastor Eduardo preached today: Less of me, and more of God!

People today are full of same, they are wanting more and more for themselves. There is no better feeling than being filled with God, overflowing with such great and wonderful love.

"He needs to increase and I need to decrease." John 3:30 John the Baptist, man of God, the one who came to announce the arrival of Christ, baptized people by teaching them. He had everything to want all the honors, he was even called a master by his followers. But John the Baptist gave us the greatest example of what the Gospel should be today, he declares: “It is better for him to grow and for me to decrease!”

John was convinced that the center of the gospel is Christ! João did not preach prosperity, did not preach miracles, he did not say that to be happy you need to have a beautiful house, a lot of money in the bank, let alone many bonds, after all he himself gave up all the glory he could have to make it clear that the center was not him!

As I told you last week, the heart mirrors in our faces what is inside each one of us, our faces shine what is full in the heart. There are people who only shine with sadness, resentment, anger, loneliness; why is it in your soul. The eyes are the door to the soul.

We must be light, in which people look at us and see the brightness of Christ in us, as the Bible says in John 8:12 ”… I am the light of the world, whoever follows me will not walk in darkness; on the contrary, it will have the light of life. ”. But to be filled with God, we need to empty ourselves. This does not happen from one to the other, but the more we know Jesus, the more we want to be like Him, and the more passionate we become. For example, when you try very delicious food, you eat it until it is full, right? The only difference with God is that the fuller we get, the more overflowing we want to be.
"So therefore, whoever among you does not renounce everything he has cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:33

Christ came to bring us freedom, peace and love! This does not mean that we will have no problems on earth, as we have to get used to the fact that being a Christian does not mean being a super hero, but someone dependent on someone who has everything in their hands, and even being the sovereign who governs the universe, looks at us and does not despise us, on the contrary it loves us! The apostle Paul, so recognized and acclaimed, himself constantly declared his dependence on Christ! And saying that the power was not his, but Christ's, testifies to one striking thing: “In everything we are troubled, but not anguished; perplexed, but not discouraged; persecuted, but not forsaken, slaughtered, but not destroyed ”II Cor. 4. 8-9
 We continue Sunday comes: More from God and less of me!
