Fasting and Prayer Time:
Joel 2:12 "... to me with
all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning." We can assume that more than 120 people praying
for the coming of the Holy Spirit, 10 days before Pentecost, also fasted at the
same time, because they remained in the same place throughout the process.
This means that there went home to eat. The Ascension of the Lord, which they
saw with their own eyes, was so powerful that they forgot earthly things. This
brought them heavenly things in such a way that whole desire and longing was
focused on the power of Heaven and the Holy Spirit
Anyone who assumes this same attitude today,
will experience his own Pentecost, which is to be baptized in the Holy Spirit
and fire. The apostles fasted frequently
afterwards, when the first missionaries were sent (Acts 13: 2), and also when Elders were brought into their offices (ACTS 14:23). Paul exhorts us to take
periods of abstinence in
marriage, "for some time by mutual consent, to devote yourselves to
prayer" (1 Corinthians 7: 5). He emphasizes therefore that
through fasting prepares to be a servant of God (2 Corinthians 6: 5).
Fast Most people eat more. According to
information provided by the health authorities,
the sophisticated society today suffers from self-induced poisoning caused by
overeating, abuse of drink and tobacco. Who among believers today pay
attention to the following scriptures: "Putting all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge
..." (2 Peter 1: 5); "... To abstain from fleshly
lusts which war against the soul" (1 Peter 2:11) Therefore, they should
not true believers seriously "
How
long you should fast?
1- Until we
know that ultimately God has heard our prayers. For this reason you should make sure if the
fasting period should be short (1-10 days) or a longer (20-40 days).
2- As long
as our health and physical condition permits, without resulting in damage
Four
methods of detoxification
1. The pores are channels through which
the body rejects large amount of toxins,
and this occurs particularly during the fasting period. This is why Jesus said:
"... and wash your face" (Matthew 6:17). Bathe more frequently than
usual helps greatly.
2. The kidneys are activated by drinking
water frequently, therefore
the urine is diluted and toxins are eliminated.
3. The lungs also discarded toxic
substances through breathing.
It is therefore necessary fresh air deeply, and often vent.
4. The bowels are also an important part
in the removal of harmful substances.
Do not worry if your intestines seem to stop working altogether, as this is
that no provision of nutrients. In an emergency, an enema may help. It would
also help the realization of a sport or physical activity.
Water
intake The
stomach should also be cleaned with water. If you do not drink water during
the fasting, the stomach is not cleaned and also shrink doing something that we
walk hunched. In order to maximize the positive
effect of fasting in the initial stages, it is advisable to drink some salt
water to cleanse the bowel. Add 2 level teaspoons of salt to 1/4 liter of
hot water and drink it. Without water, internal organs stagnate and our inner
remain dirty. The ways in which we eliminate toxins not function. Thus water
consumption is critical. The drinking water will not prevent the person
approaches God. The water is pure and constantly alluded to it in relation to
salvation and the Holy Spirit, which Jesus says: "Whoever drinks the water I shall give him shall
never thirst; but the water that I will I will, will be in him a well of water
springing up into everlasting life .. "John 4:14 CONTINUE
