How can you be sure of being saved?

Pastor
Eduardo preached:

How
can you be sure of being saved?
 Consider 1 John 5: 11-13
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life; and this life
is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God
does not have life. I have written these things to you who believe in the name
of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life, and that
you may believe in the name of the Son of God. ”
Who is it that has
the Son? Those who have believed in Him and have received Him (John 1:12). If
you have Jesus, you have life. Eternal life; not temporary, but eternal.
Many say:
“Sometimes
I feel that I am saved and sometimes not. If only I could be sure of my
salvation! ”

John states that not only can we be sure that
we already have eternal life in Christ, but we can also confirm it.

Of
course you can be sure!

God does not want you to spend your life
asking yourself whether or not you are a saved Christian.

First,
you must recognize your need.
You will never find yourself face to face
with Christ unless you are convinced that he needs it. If you feel
self-sufficient, capable of facing life with your own strength, then you will
probably never find him. A reading of the Gospels reveals that Jesus did not
impose himself upon those who felt self-sufficient, righteous and
self-confident.
You have to recognize your own sinfulness and
spiritual need before Christ responds. He did not come to call the righteous,
but sinners, to repentance.

Second
you must accept Christ according with the bible
This is where the miracle lies: as Peter, by
divine revelation, said: "You are the Christ, the
Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:16);
so also you, through
the Holy Spirit, will miraculously receive the meaning of the cross.

Have you taken this final step? The Bible
says: "But to all
who received him, to those who believe in his name, he was given the power to
become children of God" (John 1:12).

Follow
Christ according with the bible
The conversion is just the beginning. A new
life begins at the moment when you receive Christ and the Holy Spirit to
establish your residence. For the rest of your life, he will be busy conforming
you to the image of his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are faithful in attending church,
prayer, reading the Bible, and testimony, Christ will work in you and through
you. You can say like Paul: "I can do everything in Christ that strengthens me!"
(Philippians 4:13).
You will notice the miracles that happen
around you, as you disciple your life according to the pattern of a true
Christian.

The salvation of the believer is a fact by
the grace of God. Salvation is not just a future grace, it is imparted now.
Salvation bears fruit now and has a future end: "But now that you have been freed from sin and made
servants of God, you have by your fruit sanctification, and as an end, eternal
life," Romans 6:22.
