THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY OF JESUS

THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRY OF JESUS
in Christian churches celebrate Easter or thereabouts and begins with the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, also called Palm Sunday, and this happened almost 2000 years ago. But what we now want is you celebrate Jesus .. his triumphal entry into your heart or life John 12: 12-16 The next day the large crowd who had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took branches of palms and went out to meet him, crying: Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, the King of Israel.14 Jesus found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written: 15 Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your king comes, riding a donkey's colt. 16 His disciples did not understand this at first, but later, when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that this had been written of him and that they had done these things.

1. Historical context: In the Gospels (Matthew 21: 1-11, Mark 11: 1-11, Luke 19: 28-44, John 12: 12-16) relate this episode (The triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem) occurred days before the crucifixion of Jesus, called the Christ This was prophesied 520 years before the birth of Christ, the prophet Zechariah 9: 9 Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation [a], humble, riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. The Jews until today expect another Messiah because they wanted Jesus to serve the remainder spoken by the prophet (Zac.9 10 destroy the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem,). Not knowing that this will happen at his second coming. The most important thing for Jesus at that time was to die for all human beings and fulfill it also said by another prophet, Isaiah (Isaias.53: 4-7). Surely our grief’s [a], and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted 5 But He was wounded [b] for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our peace [c] fell upon Him,
And that was really the purpose of His first coming.

2. After the triumphal entry: Two very interesting things Jesus does after it is received by the crowd in Jerusalem. a) Mourn for the same Jerusalem (Lk. 19: 37-44). b) Visit the temple and drove the selling (Luke 19: 45-48). It was a day of joy, but Jesus suffered from the real situation of Jerusalem, not by the state of its streets and buildings, which in truth were very beautiful and large (Mark 13: 1-2, Lk.21: 5-6 ). The cry for the state of the hearts of its inhabitants that they wanted to meet their physical needs and political aspirations. Today Jesus also must be crying when you look toward the earth and see what people deeply desire is the same: wars and satisfaction of their physical and social needs at all costs.

3. Jesus wants to enter your life triumphing in Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him and he with me. The Lord wants to enter your life to give you the happiness you've never had, neither drugs nor alcohol, or sex, or money you can give. Not even a political change in our country. It is a non-ephemeral eternal happiness, although problems come into your life you can overcome with the help of him and celebrate wins after wins (John 10: 9,14,16).

Conclusion: today celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into our hearts and be happy today and for eternity (Luke 18: 29-30). Let Jesus into your life really. It is not a religion or tradition you need. It is Christ himself whom you need to be saved, to be considered a child of God and have eternal happiness. (John 1: 12-13). "Jesus is crucified on Good Friday and buried that night, so that true faith in God can be created at Easter through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
