POWER OF THE SPIRIT

Power of the Cross

Pastor Eduardo Alves was in blessed service at Ministerios Adoracion church, preached:

Power of the Cross
When the Apostle Paul went to the great and intellectual Grecian city of Corinth, he said, “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2). When Paul described what his message was, he said, “We preach Christ crucified” (1 Corinthians 1:23).
To the people of Corinth the preaching of the cross was foolishness, nonsense. But Paul said, “The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men” (1 Corinthians 1:25). In that great intellectual center, the cross of Christ was a stumbling block to the children of Israel, and to the Gentiles it was sheer idiocy.
This Gospel of Christ and Him crucified is still foolishness to millions who are perishing all over the world today. How few people recognize that the answer to all the world’s problems can be found at the foot of the cross.
As we stand at the cross today and gaze on a confused and frustrated world, God asks the question, “Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age?
“We preach Christ crucified.” This is the focal point of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a picture of blood flowing from Christ’s veins as He hung on the cross. The message of shed blood is repugnant to many, and they turn from such a gory sight, feeling that their delicate sensibilities have been outraged. Many people will accept Christ’s character, but they reject His crucifixion.

When we look at the cross, we see several things:
First, in the cross we see the clearest evidence of the world’s guilt. At the cross of Christ, sin reached its climax. Its most terrible display took place at Calvary. It was never blacker nor more hideous. We see the human heart laid bare and its corruption fully exposed. The Scripture teaches that man’s heart is desperately wicked.  The answer is found deep in the human heart. Human nature has not changed, and as we stand and gaze at the cross, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Second, in the cross we see the strongest proof of God’s hatred of sin. God has stated that the soul that sins shall die (Ezekiel 18:20) and that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
To gain a clear understanding of God’s attitude toward sin, we only have to consider the purpose of Christ’s death. The Scripture says, “Without shedding of blood there is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22). Here is a positive statement that there can be no forgiveness of sin unless our debt has been paid.
God will not tolerate sin. He condemns it and demands payment for it. God could not remain a righteous God and compromise with sin. His holiness and His justice demand the death penalty.
Third, in the cross we see a glorious exhibition of God’s love. We look out upon the world of nature, and in the provisions and plans made for our happiness we discover a revelation of God’s love. Yet as wonderful as these things are in revealing divine love, nothing is comparable to the sacrifice of Calvary. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

The Power of God

PASTOR Pastor Eduardo Alves WAS PREACHING TODAY AT ADORACION CHURCH:
The Power of God
God knows us well, as we are, although we sometimes hide some of ourselves from the people around us, there is no way to hide something from the eyes of our Lord, He created us and knows perfectly well what our strengths are and what our weaknesses
"He said to me: My grace is sufficient for you; for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will gladly rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. "2 Corinthians 12: 9

God allows our weaknesses
And so that the greatness of the revelations did not exalt me exceedingly, I was given a sting in my flesh, a messenger of Satan who slaps me, lest I greatly exalt myself. versiculos 7
Why does God allow weaknesses? The apostle Paul recognizes in today's reading that men tend to boast and open the door to haughtiness when we begin to be successful and even more so when we feel blessed by God in everything, it is easy for us to forget the grace of God when everything we are doing well

God is the solution to our weaknesses
Concerning which three times I have prayed to the Lord, to remove it from me. And he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you; for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will gladly rather boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me verses 8-9
There are weak areas of your life that exist in you for the sole purpose of experiencing the power of God in your life, in other words, those weaknesses and temptations, you can never overcome them without the help of God! They are in your life so that by giving control of your life to your Savior

The Power of God in our weaknesses
1. Be part of your daily prayer to ask God for His grace and power to face your weaknesses and overcome all temptations that come. If you abide in God, his grace will remain in you.
2. If you are going through weakness take a few minutes with a genuine, transparent and repentant heart to speak with God, expose before Him how you feel, ask for his strength and wisdom, take care of Him and persevere in pleasing Him.
3. If your weaknesses are out of your control, approach leaders in your church or people who love God close to you for help, all members of a body from time to time need the support of other members to be healed .
Something of what I have learned during my Christian life from personal experience is that the words that Jesus once said about being separated from Him could not do, they are true! And I have seen it in the area of weaknesses and temptations
The Power of God God knows us well, as we are, although we sometimes hide some of ourselves from the people around us,…

Miracle Prayer

Pastor Eduardo Alves was in blessed service at Ministerios Adoracion church in Sacramento, CA.

Miracle Prayer
- How to Ask God for a Miracle Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27
Since everything is possible for God, you can experience miracles in your life when you invite God to intervene – even in situations that seem impossible. But too often, people neglect to ask God for miracles in their lives, and end up settling for far less than God’s best for them.
Here’s how you can pray and ask God for a miracle:
Forget formulas and simply seek God’s presence. There are no magical formulas to use to conjure up miracles. Instead, miracles happen whenever you welcome God’s powerful presence into the situations you face. So don’t worry about trying to pray perfect prayers to convince God to do something miraculous in your life. Simply invite God to work in every situation in which you’re seeking miracles, and trust Him to do what’s best after you ask Him to intervene.
I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Jeremiah 32:27

View miracles as expressions of how much God loves you. Recognize that every time God does choose to perform a miracle in your life, He is showing you His love for you in a tangible

way. Be sure to thank God for His love whenever you experience a miracle.
Ask God to guide you to the truth about His will. If you’re not sure whether or not it’s God’s will to perform a particular miracle in your life, ask Him to make His will clear to you and tell Him that you want His will – not your own will – to be done.

“He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted” (Job 5:9).
Ask God to help your unbelief. Confess your doubts and lack of faith to God and ask Him to meet you where you are spiritually to help you believe that He is able to do what He says He will do in your life.
Obey God’s command to forgive so your prayers won’t be hindered. If you’re unwilling to forgive someone who has hurt or offended you, because God sometimes waits until you obey His commands before answering prayers. Remember how much God has forgiven you for, and let that motivate you to obey His call to forgive others. Ask God to help you forgive;
Fight evil through spiritual warfare. If evil in the spiritual realm is hindering miracles from happening in your life, pray breakthrough prayers against evil to clear the way for more miracles to occur in your life. Start by confessing your sins that come to mind, and then repent of each one specifically. Ask God to protect you and those you’re praying for from future attacks by evil. Then ask God to bless you and those you’re praying for in the name of Jesus.
You can always approach God with confidence if you trust in His Son, Jesus Christ. So don’t hesitate to pray about anything, including miracles!

No One Loves You more than God

Pastor Eduardo Alves was in a blessed service honoring all mothers.
No one loves you more than God. Look at the cross, that is your greatest test. No one loves you like God. No one has greater love than giving his life for his friends John 15:13

The human being has an imperative need to be loved and to love. Despite today's technological advancement, high-end computers, smart phones in the palms of the hands, and the world famous Internet network, today's man is not satisfied with any of this and continues on a search At all costs to find a "sincere love", a "soul mate", a "sincere" commitment,
Some of us recognize this thirsty thirst that nests inside our hearts, while others come to hide or deny it irretrievably; But the truth is that man needs a similar at any cost with which he can enjoy, some spiritual communion and a love something "stable and lasting." Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which is the perfect bond. Colossians 3:14

The plan of God from the eternal ages

We have already dealt with other times about the harmony and perfect harmony of the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit who from eternity coexist in perfect communion and harmony, and I still do not find human words to describe it.

God is a person and in Him there is a very strong relational component. God desires at all cost a relationship of love, an eternal bond, a dance for eternity with His creatures. And I do not think that something is missing from God to remain God but the reality is that from eternal ages He has a plan

For you. Original sin shattered our relational identity with the Creator.

And we have come to know and believe that God loves us. God is love. He who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16

The Message of Love and the Grace of God

It is the thread that runs throughout the Scriptures. It is the same message Jesus conveyed in the parable of the prodigal son, and that is the center of the Bible in John 3:16. It is the love of God who has always been waiting for this moment of your soul and of mine, He wanted us to be like this, to speak to Him in this way and to come surrendered in this way.
Always humble and kind, patient, tolerant with one another in love. Ephesians 4: 2

God knows everything that you and I have lived, He knows also what we have wept and what we have suffered and It is that God has never left us, for no one loves us like God!

Trust in the Lord in times of trouble

Pastor Eduardo Alves was preaching today at Ministerios Adoarcion:

Trust in the Lord in times of trouble
"The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are attentive to his prayers" (1 Peter 3:12).
It is one thing to affirm that we trust in God and quite another to demonstrate it with works. For example, the phrase "In God We Trust" has long been in US coins and bills.

When we lose employment or income is scarce To what economic pressures are Lord’s servants subjected in these "critical times," and what gives us assurance that he is willing to help us?
3 In these "critical times," Christians are subjected to the same economic pressures as other people (2 Timothy 3: 1). But you must know this: that in the last days difficult times will come.
So it may be that we suddenly lose employment or that we have no choice but to work long hours at a very low wage. In such circumstances, we may find it difficult to 'provide for those who are ours' 1 Timothy 5: 8
When we are afflicted by family problems
Is the Most High God willing to help us in those moments? Undoubtedly! Of course, the Lord does not protect us from the problems of life in this system of things. But if we trust in him, the words of Psalm 46: 1 will be fulfilled in our case: "God is for us refuge and strength, a help that can be found readily in distress." Now, how can we show that we trust fully

in the Lord when we encounter difficulties? Praying and having faith
"You will have confidence, because there is hope; You will look around and rest in safety. You will lie down and there will be no one to frighten you; And many will plead for you "(Job 11: 18-19).

When health problems afflict us How does the example of King David show that it is realistic to trust the Lord when we suffer a serious illness? Is it realistic to trust the Lord when we are suffering from a serious illness? Of course yes! The Lord is interested in his servants who cross that situation. Moreover, he is eager to help them. Consider, for example, King David. It is possible that he himself suffered some serious illness when, referring to a just person who had fallen ill, he wrote: Psalm 41: 3 The LORD will hold him in his sickbed; In his illness, you will restore his health [d].
David continued to manifest a firm confidence in God, and finally recovered from his suffering. And we, how can we prove that we trust God when we are afflicted with health problems?

The eternal God is your refuge and your eternal arms are your support. He threw the enemy before you (Deuteronomy 33:27).

Recognize Him

Pastor Eduardo Alves was preaching today at Ministerios Adoracion church:

Recognize Him

Luke 24: 13-35 13 And behold, the same day two of them went to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles [a] from Jerusalem. 14 And they talked among themselves about all these things that had happened. 15 And it came to pass, as they talked and disputed, that Jesus himself came and walked with them. 16 But his eyes were veiled, so that they would not recognize him.

Jesus, the Lord and Master, approaches our reality, ministers us in it and His Word transforms us

IN WHICH CIRCUMSTANCES WERE FINDED WITH JESUS
No doubt, the emotional state, the shadowy countenance, in which they were. That the frustration and despair in their hearts when meditating on the death of their Master

WHAT IMPACT IS PRODUCED IN YOUR LIVES First, we see that Jesus is the one who takes the initiative to approach his followers. Christ is constantly approaching us, in many ways, even though in our obfuscation, like those disciples, we do not recognize Him. 16 But his eyes were veiled, so that they would not recognize him.

Secondly, Jesus finds us in our reality, whatever it may be. The Master approached two people frustrated, sad, lost and confused. 7 And He said to them: What are these [c] arguments that you have with each other while you walk? And they stopped, looking sad. 18 One of them, Cleopas, answered and said to him, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened in her these days? 9 And He said to them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet [e] mighty in deed and word before God and all the people; 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers gave him a sentence of death and crucified him. 21 But we hoped that He was the one who was going to redeem Israel. But besides all this, this is the third day since these things happened. 22 And some women among us also astonished us; For when they went to the tomb early in the morning, 23 and when they did not find his body, they came saying that they had also seen an appearance of angels saying that he lived. 24 Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said. But they did not see Him.

Third, Jesus, the Lord, ministered to them with the Word. He made real, visible, evident, close the Word of God for the situation. Jesus brings the Word into our lives for us to minister to.
5 Then Jesus [g] said to them, O foolish and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have said! 26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer all these things and enter into his glory? 27 And beginning with [i] Moses and continuing with all the prophets, he explained the things concerning him in all the Scriptures. 28 They approached the village where they were going, and He went as far as it went. 29 And they urged him, saying, Stay with us, for it is evening, and the day has already declined. And he went in to stay with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat down with them, that he took bread, and blessed him; And broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him; But He disappeared from their presence. 32 And they said to each other, "Did not our heart burn within us as He spoke to us on the way, when He opened the Scriptures to us?" 33 And they arose at that hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and the company with them gathered together, 34 saying, "It is true that the Lord is risen and has appeared to Simon." 35 And they told their experiences [m] along the way, and how they had recognized him in the breaking of bread.

WHAT APPLICATION HAS FOR US? There are several First, that we can be sure that no matter what our situation Jesus always takes the initiative to approach us Always! It is possible that our reality is one of frustration, discouragement, hopelessness, despondency or even sin and denial of the Lord, but again it is important to understand, believe and acknowledge that there is Jesus, the Lord. Secondly, it is possible that in our obfuscation we do not recognize To Jesus. Our eyes may be closed for many reasons. Thirdly, Jesus will always minister to us in our need. Fourth, it is important to invite Jesus to our home, or in other words, to our life experience. The two disciples of Emmaus could have lost all the blessing of the meeting if they had not invited Jesus to stay with them.
