Pastor predicó:

La esperanza viva del cristiano. 1ª Pedro 1:3-12 ³ Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor
Jesucristo, quien según su gran misericordia, nos ha hecho nacer de
nuevo a una esperanza viva, mediante la resurrección de Jesucristo de
entre los muertos, 

I. Fe intemporal - 1: 4-5 ⁴ para obtener una
herenciaincorruptible, inmaculada, y que no se marchitará, reservada en los
cielos para vosotros, ⁵ que sois protegidos^[a] por
el poder de Dios mediante la fe, para la salvación que está preparada
para ser revelada en el último tiempo.

 La pregunta no es si tenemos fe, todos tenemos
fe. El ateo tiene fe en que su razonamiento racional ha eliminado la
posibilidad de Dios. Tiene fe en su capacidad intelectual. Otros tienen fe en
sus habilidades, destrezas, conexiones, amigos, familiares y ellos mismos.
Todos tienen fe. La pregunta es ¿dónde está anclada tu fe?

Tarde o temprano, las
tormentas de la vida comenzarán a soplar y luego la pregunta se convertirá en
el ancla de la fe.

Pedro nos da tres
razones por las cuales es importante anclar nuestra fe en Cristo.

A. La fe en Cristo
es imperecedera (no perece).

¿Como puede ser? Pues mira donde se guarda la fe en Cristo, en el
cielo. Jesús dice que debemos poner tesoros en el cielo donde la polilla y el
óxido no pueden destruir o el ladrón robar.

Si nuestra fe está puesta en las cosas de este mundo, entonces nuestra
fe perecerá. Innumerables reinos han venido y caído, las economías se han
construido y destruido, y las naciones se han establecido y desaparecido. Esa
es la única forma en que sabemos que nuestra fe es imperecedera.

B. Nuestra fe será
incorrupta

Sin duda has escuchado la frase, el poder absoluto corrompe
absolutamente. Es una declaración que indica nuestra naturaleza pecaminosa. La
historia está llena de líderes que comenzaron con las mejores intenciones, pero
el orgullo, el ego u otros defectos se interpusieron en el camino. Si ponemos
nuestra fe en un líder, es solo cuestión de tiempo antes de que se revele la
naturaleza corruptible del individuo.

II Fe probada - 1:
6-8 ⁶ En lo cual os regocijáis
grandemente, aunque ahora, por un poco de tiempo si es necesario, seáis
afligidos con diversas pruebas^[b], ⁷ para que la prueba^[c] de
vuestra fe, más preciosa que el oro que
perece, aunque probado por fuego, sea hallada que resulta en alabanza,
gloria y honor en la revelación de Jesucristo; ⁸ a quien sin haberle visto, le amáis, y a quien ahora no veis, pero
creéis en El, y os
regocijáis grandemente con gozo inefable y lleno de gloria^[d]

Nuestra fe debe estar anclada en la naturaleza intemporal de Cristo,
pero puedo escuchar la pregunta. ¿Cómo sabes que una fe en Cristo se mantendrá
durante las tormentas de la vida? ¿Por qué debería confiar en Cristo? Porque,
esta no es una fe ordinaria, es una fe probada. Innumerables personas han
puesto su fe en Cristo y han encontrado el ancla. Pedro descubrió que una fe
probada es valiosa, reveladora y centrada en el amor.

A. Es valiosa (1:
7) , más preciosa que el oro que perece

Pedro aquí juega con una gran imagen, el orfebre. Un orfebre derretiría el metal hasta que se convirtiera en
un líquido. Todas las impurezas saldrían a la superficie y el orfebre las
rasparía y permitiría que el metal se enfriara. Luego volvería y repetiría el
proceso una y otra vez. Su objetivo era
el oro puro. ¿Cómo sabía él cuando tenía oro puro? Cuando no salían
impurezas a la superficie o cuando podía ver su reflejo en el oro derretido.

III. La verdadera
fe - 1: 10-12 ¹⁰ Acerca de esta salvación, los
profetas que profetizaron de la gracia que vendría a vosotros, diligentemente inquirieron e indagaron, En nuestra palabra posmoderna, a menudo escuchamos la afirmación de
que lo que funciona para usted puede no funcionar para mí. Entonces Pedro tenía
una fe en Cristo que era eterna. Su fe
era valiosa, reveladora y llena de amor.

The living hope of the Christian

1 Peter 1:3-12 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.



I. Timeless faith - 1: 4-5 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

The question is not whether we have faith, we all have faith. The atheist has faith that his rational reasoning has eliminated the possibility of God. He has faith in his intellectual capacity. Others have faith in their abilities, skills, connections, friends, family and themselves. Everyone has faith. The question is where is your faith anchored?



Sooner or later, the storms of life will begin to blow and then the question will become the anchor of faith.



Peter gives us three reasons why it is important to anchor our faith in Christ.



A. Faith in Christ is imperishable (does not perish).

How can it be? Well, look where faith is kept in Christ, in heaven. Jesus says we should put treasures in heaven where the moth and rust cannot destroy or the thief steal.



If our faith is set in the things of this world, then our faith will perish. Countless kingdoms have come and fallen, economies have been built and destroyed, and nations have been established and disappeared. That is the only way we know that our faith is imperishable.



B. Our faith will be incorrupt

You have undoubtedly heard the phrase, absolute power corrupts absolutely. It is a statement that indicates our sinful nature. The story is full of leaders who started with the best intentions, but pride, ego or other defects got in the way. If we put our faith in a leader, it is only a matter of time before the corruptible nature of the individual is revealed.



II Proven Faith - 1: 6-8 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuinenessof your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,



Our faith must be anchored in the timeless nature of Christ, but I can hear the question. How do you know that a faith in Christ will be maintained during the storms of life? Why should I trust Christ? Because, this is not an ordinary faith, it is a proven faith. Countless people have put their faith in Christ and found the anchor.  Peter discovered that a proven faith is valuable, revealing and centered on love.

A. It is valuable (1: 7) of greater worth than gold, which perishes

Peter here plays with a great image, the goldsmith. A goldsmith would melt the metal until it became a liquid. All impurities would surface and the goldsmith would scrape them and allow the metal to cool. Then I would go back and repeat the process over and over again. His goal was pure gold. How did he know when he had pure gold? When no impurities surfaced or when I could see its reflection in melted gold.





III. The true faith - 1: 10-12 10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care

In our postmodern word, we often hear the claim that what works for you may not work for me. Then Peter had a faith in Christ that was eternal. His faith was valuable, revealing and full of love
