The cost to follow Jesus.

The  cost to follow Jesus. But it will cost us more if we will not follow Him. Either way, it will cost us. What are those costs? “There is a price to be paid. if you decide not to follow Christ not to accept Christ what’s it going to cost you because you’re going to have to pay a price either way

Luke 14:25 ²⁵ Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: ²⁶ “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. ²⁷ And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

if you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior there’s a price to be paid. It may even mean death. It may mean that your family turns against you. It may mean that you lose some friends. It may mean that you’ll have to even give up some of the things that you’re doing because you know they’re ethically and morally wrong.

The whole pattern of your life has to change> Because that’s what repentance means it means change and you have to repent or you’re going to perish said Jesus. So if you follow Christ it’s going to cost you something but if you don’t follow Christ and don’t receive Christ it’s going to cost you something too and going to cost you far more. what’s it going to cost not to follow Christ?” –

“The hope of tomorrow is more important than the possessions of today our hope is in Christ our citizenship is in heaven I would rather be the poorest child of God today and have that wealth that God is preparing for us.”

Eyes Fixed on Jesus                                                                            Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

If you wear glasses or contacts or have ever had your eyes checked, you probably had to look through lots of different lenses as the doctor tested your eyes.  Similarly, the only way our vision remains clear throughout the course of our lives is when we focus on Jesus. Our circumstances change, our feelings go up and down, people in our lives come and go. But Christ remains constant, providing us with a perfect and clear example of serving the Father out of loving obedience. Matthew 16: ²⁴ Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

The basic problem                                                                                 But the basic problem lies in his own soul. You have offended God with your sin, and you have found that you do not have the strength to live the kind of life you know you should live.

The moment you recognize this need and are willing to come to Christ by faith, you have taken the first step toward salvation and redemption.  Pray: “Jesus, help me to keep my eyes fixed on and to follow you not on my way but yours. "Thank you for allowing me to deny what gets me into this world"
