The Battlefield of the Mind

Pastor
Eduardo preached:
 The
Battle of the Mind
Joyce Meyer recounts in the book "The Battlefield of the
Mind":
If you fight against negative thinking, it is important
that you face the fact that your life will not change until your thoughts
change.
Renewed, thinking like God is vital to
change.

A
powerful force
Our thoughts get us into trouble more than
anything else. This is because our thoughts are the roots of every word and
deed. In Isaiah 55: 8, the Lord says: "For my thoughts
are not yours, nor are your ways mine."
No matter what you or I
may think, God has written his thoughts to us in his book, the Bible. We must
choose to examine our thoughts in the light of the Word of God, always willing
to submit our thoughts to his, knowing that his are the best.

Think
About What You Are Thinking
The Bible presents a lot of detailed
instructions on what kind of things we should think about. Philippians 4: 8 tells us to think about the things that edify us, not the ones that bring us
down.
If you are a believer, you probably think of
some scripture-based thoughts throughout each day, but think about this. Are
you mixing them with negative thoughts or just any random thoughts that come to
your mind?
Many people simply think of everything that
fell into their heads. Much of what is in his head are lies that Satan is
saying or just pointless things. The devil is controlling many lives because he
is controlling his thoughts.
In the flesh we are lazy and want to receive
from God without any effort on our part, but that is not the way it works. You
will only get from the Word what you are willing to invest in it.

I encourage you to make the decision to
meditate on the Word of God every day because every moment you spend absorbing
it, more virtue and knowledge you will receive from God.

This is exactly the point noted in 2 Corinthians 10: 4, 5. Through careful
strategies and cunning deception, Satan tries to establish "strengths" in our mind. A
fortress is an area in which we are slaves in a wrong way of thinking. Examine
what's on your mind. If you disagree with the thoughts of God (the Bible), then
discard your own thoughts and instead think those of God. To do this, you must
know the Word of God well enough to compare your thoughts with what is in the
mind of God.

People who live in the vanity of their mind
not only destroy themselves, but very often bring destruction to those around
them. Those who live for the truth of God, on the other hand, are blessed, and
bring blessing to others. The mind is
the battlefield!

On the battlefield of the mind, you will win
or lose the war that Satan has declared against you. My sincere prayer is that
I discard ideas and all the high and high that exalts itself against the
knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obedience to Jesus Christ so
that he may live in victory, joy and peace.

God's
love is destined to be a powerful force in our lives, which will lead us
through even the most difficult tests to victory.
