Growing in Grace!

Pastor Eduardo Alves preached today:

Grow in grace 2020 will be a year of growth

More All growth occurs from the inside out. And not from the outside as many want or want. A tree, a house

Is your spiritual life characterized by passivity or by being on guard and alert?

How are you growing in the grace of God?

Are you growing in the knowledge of Christ?

Grow in grace

This implies knowing the grace that has been given to us through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ in an undeserved way. God through Christ has given us the gift we do not deserve: Salvation. We grow when we live in the light of that reality and when we allow the Gospel to shape our way of life. We grow in grace when we obey God's Word and add virtue to our faith.

As you grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ your heart will be filled with praise just like Peter at the close of his letter: "2 Peter 3:18" Rather, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ . To Him be the glory now and until the day of eternity. Amen."

Grow in the knowledge of Christ

The second thing Peter recommends us to be on guard, is to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For this it is first necessary to know Him, not only in an intellectual or historical way but in a personal way. We grow in the knowledge of Christ when we know the Word of God, when we make it our main food and when we begin to see it, not as a compendium of isolated stories, but as a book with only one central theme: Jesus Christ.

We grow when:

We associate with people that you will become a helper in your faith. When we stop giving excuses or blaming others. When we accept the challenges. When we stop looking at the past and look the dream that lies ahead. When we face pain, it is the price that becomes joy, like labor pains. When you persist while others give up. When you change or everything is repeated in the same. When you take risks, without risks you earn nothing in life. You get tired, ask for strength, don't give up. Grow up, leave the claims and move on.

Say: 2020 will be my year, I was born of God for great things. We will start Sunday next 16 days of consecration. To the extent that we can work that vision, mercies are renewed from day to day and we grow in the understanding of the character of God and the grace of Jesus.
